Weekend fashion events

It's going to be a rainy weekend in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Take cover and attend one of the fashion shows, sample sales and designer events that are happening over the weekend.  However you choose to spend your weekend, enjoy it in style!

THURSDAY 


Get pampered and shop for deep discounted designer clothes at the Sassy City Chick Fashion Bash.  This fabulous event will have sample sale designer fashion items with savings of up to 80% and complimentary spa services to help people unwind after the shopping.  Cost to attend is $10 general admission or $20 for admission and a Sassy tote bag of goodies.
Network and learn at the Fashion+Tech Fashion Startup event.  A panel of entrepreneurs will present their products and business models and receive feedback at this innovative event.  Some of the presenters include Boutine, Gorilla Workshop, RAF9, Style You and Stylishous.  Cost to attend is $10.
Get ignited at the RAW: Fashion+Music+Art Monthly event.  This event spotlights independent artists in film, fashion, music, and performing arts.  The evening will include a fashion show by Honeycooler Handmade and a fashion installation by Rose La Mer featuring vintage headpieces.  Cost to attend is $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

FRIDAY 
Just in time for the de Young retrospective on Jean Paul Gaultier, Decades is hosting a one day only pop-up shop!  There will be a stunning selection of modern and vintage pieces, from one-of-a-kind Jean Paul Gaultier vintage couture gowns to a sexy selection of spring dresses, coats and handbags.  All from Decades' vast collection of contemporary designers.  No cost to attend.

Meet San Francisco based shoe designer Anyi Lu and view her Nordstrom exclusive Fall 2012 shoe collection.  This former chemical engineer and professional ballroom dancer has turned her love for shoes into a stunning line of stylish, Italian made high heels that are made with comfort in mind.  Find out what she has in-store for the upcoming fall shoe trends.
Fashion designer Dexter Flawk will be showcasing his latest collection on the runway at Project One.  His previous shows featured his edgy, street/club wear that inspires creativity of fashion.  The event will be hosted by the fabulously entertaining Merkley???.  No cost to attend.

SATURDAY 
Come to the Vintage Fashion Expo and find the best in vintage fashions and accessories for men and women.  Dealers from across the country will be presenting their finest vintage items: couture designer fashion, estate jewelry, classic accessories.  There will be items from every era and every price range.  It is recommended to arrive early for the best selection.  Ticket cost ranges from $8 to $20.
Join clothing brands FAZE Apparel, Calab, Charlie Noble, JATE, Mint Design and Social Villains as they take over Lower Haters for the entire day.  This one day pop-up shop will feature fashion, music, live painting, food vendors and drink specials.  The participating brands will offer great sale prices on their items.  No cost to attend.
Jasmin Zorlu Millinery is hosting a special trunk show at Red Square Boutique featuring a beautiful range of luxurious headwear pieces.  The designer will be launching her new collection of jinsin straw hats and will be marking down the cost of all the Eco Cashmere, Merino and Fur Felt handmade hats by 30%.

Meet designer Laurel Berman of Black Halo and view her Spring 2012 collection at Neiman Marcus.  A previous student at the San Francisco Academy of Fashion, Berman has reinvented classics with glamour and sex appeal through flawless construction and impeccable tailoring. 
Enjoy fashion, art and wine as designer Vasily Vein presents his newest collection Private Shopping.  All items will be available for purchase or pre-order.  No cost to attend.
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in eco-friendly style with Indie Industries.  The event will feature free screen-printing, green drinks and appetizers, complimentary DIY cupcake bar and special sale items. Wear green and save 15% storewide!  No cost to attend.
