This Week's Fashionable Events: Fashion Shows, Trunk Shows, Special Events and More

TUESDAY  
For food lovers with style, this is the first day of the 3-day San Francisco Design Center Culinarium. The event is all about design, wine and dine.  If you want to dress up for a charitable event, check out the Date Auction benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation hosted by Union Street businesses at The Brick Yard Restaurant and Bar.  Win a date and prizes from local merchants.  There's also a special performance at Yoshi's San Francisco to benefit the Wetlands Restoration.  Tuesday fashion events include:

WEDNESDAY
Continuing today are the Pamella Roland trunk show at Saks Fifth Avenue in San Francisco and the SFDC Culinarium.  If you can't make it to the Culinarium, you can see celebrity chef Michael Chiarello at Omnivore Books in Noe Valley.  Fashion events to enjoy include:

THURSDAY
This is the last day to see stylistic kitchen designs and celebrity chefs at the SFDC Culinarium.  Charity events include Root Division's Annual Art Auction, Nightmare on Market Street to benefit Family House YPAC, Global Marketplace - Celebrating Immigrant Women's Entrepreneurship and the Beth Longwell Foundation Dinner and Silent Auction.  Entertaining events to get dressed up for include the SFMOMA Now Playing evening party, Nightlife at the California Academy of Sciences, and Art Attack's Burlesque Competition at supperclub.  Fashion events to enjoy on Thursday include:

SFFAMA presents the latest Fashion Mash-Up speaker series featuring fashion retailers.  Find out details on setting up a successful retail business.  Speakers include Diana Yinn of See Zenn, Kate Stephenson of Show Stoppers and Paula Mattisonsierra of Maximummama.  Cost to attend is $5 for SFFAMA members and $10 for non-members.
In partnership with the Museum of Craft and Folk Art, SFMade will facilitate a panel of successful artisan manufacturers including Heath Ceramics, DodoCase, and Lemon Twist.  Come learn how these designers made the leap from artist to manufacturer, what were the trade-offs, and lessons learned. Discussion begins at 7PM at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art.  Cost to attend is $25.
Fashion designer Candice Janeen will be showcasing her collection on the runway for Raw Artist at 111 Minna Gallery.  It will be a fabulous evening of fashion, cocktails, music, film and much more!  Cost to attend is $10.

FRIDAY
Visiting the de Young Museum's Friday Night Soiree always gives great reason to dress up.  This week they will be featuring live tango music and other entertainment.  Fashion Friday events to enjoy include:
The Tygh Valley Traders will return to the Asian Art Museum with fresh treasures and exciting stories for a two day trunk show and sale.  Specializing in textiles, jewelry, and sculpture, Phil and Noreen Bloch spent last summer revisiting old friends and making new ones, sourcing extraordinary objects from crafts people throughout South East Asia and minority tribal areas.  Past trunk shows have included many curiosities not easily found outside of the region, and both days will feature an impressive assortment of objects: Hindu and Buddhist bronzes, hand-woven textiles, baskets, wood carvings, votives and amulets, tribal beads, incomparable silver jewelry, and more.   Free admission.
In conjunction with Dress For Success, the non-profit organization GXBA (Globalization X-change Bay Area) presents a fashion event featuring a multicultural fashion show, the latest globalization trends and different exotic food, drinks and music.  Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite ethnic outfit from their home country.  Ticket cost ranges from $15 to $60.

 Join San Francisco club Public Works for a fashion-filled soiree of epic proportions, featuring the launch of the Skunkfunk Fall/Winter 2010 collection and an amazing lineup of guest DJ's.  Cost of admission is $5 and free with RSVP before 11:00 PM.

SATURDAY
Continuing today are The  KI at Treasure Island and the trunk show and sale at the Asian Art Museum.  Some fun events to get styled up for include the Annual Fall Art Opening at Barber Lounge,  the Danville Fall Crafts Festival, the first-ever Cal Science and Engineering Festival, the Day of The Dead Celebration at the Oakland Museum, Eventbrite's Blinded by the Brite party at Public Works benefitting the non-profit Spark (with an open bar) and a charity event for Wonder Dog Rescue at El Rio in San Francisco.  The fashion events to check out on Saturday include:
