It's going to be a great week in San Francisco with all the fashion events happening around the bay plus other fun events that inspire dressing up and getting out, such as Fleet Week (October 7 - 12), the SF Jazz Festival, and Decompression.

Superdry will officially unveil their first-ever store in San Francisco, located at the Westfield San Francisco Centre. Superdry USA's collection fuses aesthetic sportswear with vintage flair, offering signature styles including hand-drawn graphic t-shirts, rugged plaids, leather bombers, cargo pants and retro vintage hoodies. They are celebrated for its cutting edge, cool and unique products, all offered at accessible price points. Store hours are Monday thru Saturday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM and Sundays, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The Bay Area Arthritis Auxiliary, a volunteer group of the Arthritis Foundation, Northern California Chapter, is pleased to announce its 2010 Fashion Show featuring the collections of local San Francisco designer Colleen Quen. This special event will feature a reception, silent auction, as well as a gourmet luncheon and runway fashion show. All proceeds will support the Arthritis Foundation, Northern California Chapter's research, community programs and advocacy efforts. Ticket cost ranges from $150 to $1000.

Friday will be the air show rehearsals for Fleet Week - you can't avoid hearing them if you're within miles of downtown San Francisco. Art Explosion Studios is hosting a free opening reception gala to kick-off the Open Studios weekend in the Mission. The Gem Faire at the Alameda County Fairgrounds kicks off today and continues through the weekend. Other great fashion events to enjoy on Friday include the following:

Benefiting the Goodwill of Silicon Valley, the second annual Eco Chic Fashion Show will feature an earthly cool cocktail party, fabulous signature dinner and the fashion show featuring vintage items of the past and new-refashioned styles by local designers. Cost to attend is $150 for the whole event or $35 for the fashion show only.
Beats for Boobs will host its 7th annual fundraiser on Friday, October 8th at Mezzanine in San Francisco. This event raises community awareness for breast cancer through a collective celebration of art, fashion, food and music. The talented DJ lineup includes shOOey, Shissla, Ellen Ferrato, Melyss, Murphstar, Aaron Pope, Marissa Guzman, Ruby Valeros, and Jamie Lin. Fashion show participants include DeFalco Design, Gelareh Design, Melissa Moorcroft, Miranda Caroligne, Silver Lucy Design, Tamo Design, Warrior Within Designs and Miss G Designs. There will also be featured artists, a silent auction, and catered food. Ticket cost ranges from $25 to $35.
The Beauty of Life Sickle Cell Awareness Fashion Show is bringing people together for a common cause, to have a good time, to raise awareness and to raise funds for the Children's Hospital of Oakland Sickle Cell Disease Center. Featured designers include James Head, Marianne Faulkner, Anya Zuyeva, Nancy Delos Reyes, R. Shay Miles, Dao Thabthimkoson and Anthony Aleman. Jewelry provided by Gallery of Jewels. The fashion show starts at 7:00 PM and the event concludes at 8:00 PM. General admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Reserved seating is $30 and includes a complimentary drink. Students can attend for $15 with ID.

Mario B. Productions and Omolara Entertainment presents the 4th Annual Rock The Runway fashion show. This evening of fashion, performances and music will be hosted by Chuy Gomez from 106.1 KMEL. Tickets are $40 for VIP and $20 general admittance.
ERA Art Bar & Lounge presents "Trends: The Little Black Dress Episode." Trends is designed to celebrate Bay Area fashion innovators in a beautiful atmosphere with dynamic and inspired people as they partake in a night of fashion, art and good music. The inaugural episode is titled "The Black Dress Episode" where ladies are encouraged to come dress in trendy black dresses. Come enjoy a fabulous night of fashion and music for the American Red Cross. This is an official red carpet fashion show and silent auction fundraiser to help the American Red Cross organization raise funds for San Bruno Fire Victims. The fashion show will feature the collections of Dark Garden Corsetry & Couture, Phuong My, Kaatje Designs and Pace Clothing. DJs performing through the night include St. John, Frank Nitty and Chris Hope. VIP tickets are $35 and general admission is $20.
