The widely anticipated San Francisco Chic Fashion Week starts today, Sunday, August 1st, 2010, with a kickoff party at supperclub featuring the launch of Helium Magazine's San Francisco edition and a fashion show featuring a new collection by Bacca Da Silva.  Chic Fashion Week is a week-long series of fashion events culminating in weekend runway shows at the design center.  Over 50 local Bay Area designers are participating in this event in the hopes of bringing back a yearly fashion week to San Francisco after it's 2 year hiatus.  The organizing team is lead by Mario B. Productions and Leather+Lace Events, with the support of local stylists, makeup artists, fashion event producers and other industry related professionals.  Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds of Chic Fashion Week are benefitting the charity Until There's A Cure.

Tonight's event at supperclub is a celebration of firsts for San Francisco's Chic Fashion Week and Helium Magazine.  The start and rebirth of a fashion week in San Francisco, as well as the launch of Helium Magazine's new San Francisco site: www.sfHelium.com.  The event will include a multi-media fashion show featuring designer Bacca Da Silva's collection, the stylistic spinning of international DJ Dawn of Sound, as well as other fashion related entertainment throughout the evening.  In support of Until There's A Cure, Helium Magazine's mixologist is featuring their "Helium Drop" cocktail drink with proceeds going to the charity.  "Blue" attire is highly encouraged.  The supperclub dinner from 7:00 to 10:00 PM is regularly $65, but there's a special dinner pricing of $55 when mentioning "Chic Fashion Week Helium Blue Launch" when making reservations.  General admission is $10 after 10:00 PM with the fashion show starting at 11:00 PM.  Dinner reservations can be made by calling supperclub at (415) 348-0900.

Come out and support our local fashion industry by seeing what our designers are bringing to San Francisco's style scene.
